Flood insurance sales have picked up in parts of Wisconsin where in the last few years residents have experienced what they call flood shock.
Record breaking rain fall in Lake Delton, Wisconsin and $765 million in damages last year alone have prompted residents to more seriously consider obtaining additional coverage, reports Madison, Wisconsin CBS affiliate WISC-TV.
According to the National Flood Insurance Program, standard home insurance plans don't cover flooding so property located in the vicinity of hurricane, tropical storm or heavy rain activity may consider getting a supplemental plan.
