Vice President of Business Development
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive new business development plan to deliver acquisition objectives. Plan should focus on generating new business partnerships and expanded growth of the current partnership relationships to ensure an active new applications pipeline
- Build new revenue streams and increase application acquisition in support all products – auto, home, and health, renters, life, and group insurance
- Manage a staff of 4 to 6 sales and service employees
- Lead contract negotiations for assigned accounts and manage implementation in conjunction with other functions
- Coordinate participation and leverage cross functional resources (marketing, sales, creative) in developing and launching new business relationships
- Develop and implement strategic partnership marketing standards and processes
- Manage relationships and accounts of acquired channel and marketing partners
Desired Background and Skill Requirements
- BS or BA degree in business/marketing. MBA preferred
- Minimum five years progressive experience as a marketing professional including business development/acquisition experience, current and extensive "deal sheet" activity with familiarity with web based businesses
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and secure new partnerships
- Understanding of financial reports, and business statements
- Must possess a high degree of integrity and the ability to achieve results in a flexible, dynamic environment
Requires mature judgment and initiative with good listening, communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to negotiate agreements between parties.
